Four doctors went duck hunting – a registrar, a radiologist, a surgeon and a pathologist. The registrar was up first.
The ducks flew over and he aimed the shotgun but didn’t fire. When asked why he replied that he thought they looked like ducks coming towards him, but geese flying away, when i was sure what they were they were gone.
The radiologist was next. The ducks flew over, the radiologist raised his gun but didn’t fire. When asked why he said that he thought they were ducks on the AP view, but by the time he could see them in the lateral it was too late.
Next was the surgeon. As the ducks came along he started firing wildly in the air, ducks falling like rain. When the smoke cleared he picked up the ducks, handed them to the pathologist saying “here you are. Now tell me are these ducks or not?”

The late Dr. Felson was an American professor in Radiology. He had embarked on lecture circuits in almost every state and many countries in the world. When he was at the university hospital in Beijing, he decided to break the ice by first telling a joke.
After delivering the first line of his joke, he waited for the host radiologist to do the translation. Instead of doing the translating, the host signaled Dr. Felson to continue speaking. He delivered the second line and waited. Again, the man signaled him to continue. Same thing happened after his third, fourth and fifth lines.
After the punch line, the man said "Zhei Meiguo jiaoshou shuo le yi ge xiaohua."
The audience burst into hysterical laughter.
Dr. Felson said "Wow! Your translation is phenomenal! You did my entire joke with just a few words. What did you say?"
The man replied "I said ‘The American professor just told a joke’."

ORLANDO, Fla…Researchers said they found evidence of hardening of the arteries in Egyptian mummies dating as far back as 3,500 years, challenging longstanding assumption that cardiovascular disease is mainly a malady of modern societies.

OCT is an optical imaging modality using near-infrared light to produce high-resolution cross-sectional images. An optical beam is targeted at an object, and by analyzing the reflected light from multiple scans, 3D data can be obtained.
Currently being used or evaluated for a variety of medical indications, including vascular imaging, dermatology, oncology, and, in particular, ophthalmology, OCT offers the advantages of being noninvasive and nondestructive -- important features for both medicine and the field of art conservation.
Because of the benefits of noninvasive techniques, other imaging modalities have also been explored for examining paintings, including reflectance spectroscopy in visible light, thermographic techniques such as pulse phase thermography (PPT), air-coupled ultrasound echo detection, and CT.
Targowski and colleagues used OCT to clarify the history of the 18th-century painting "Saint Leonard of Porto Maurizio." All images courtesy of Piotr Targowski, Ph.D., and Accounts of Chemical Research.
