RSP Research & Education

The Radiological Society of Pakistan (RSP) Education Committee (EC) invites applications for the Research Grants scheme – 2009-10. This is in accordance with the proposed plan to award grants annually to foster research in clinical radiology, clinical Oncology and allied specialties. The grants are intended to assist individuals or collaborative teams to carry out small research projects.

Eligibility
The Lead Applicant (LA) must be a member of RSP, who is relatively new to research, and who hopes to develop their research experience.
There is no bar to the total number of project team members, and they do not all have to be members of RSP. Multi-disciplinary and/or multi-centre applications are encouraged. We would encourage inclusion of junior radiologist/radiographer. The Lead Applicant will be asked on the Application form, what research training any junior applicant/co-applicant will receive.

Grants
Grants are offered by the RSP-EC on the recommendation of EC’s Research Sub-Committee. The anticipated amount would be made available at the GBM by the Executive council, however, anticipate amount for each project would be defined by the research subcommittee based on the merits of proposed study.
Members of the Research Sub-Committee welcome innovative ideas on how the funding can be used to aid research. We would encourage the use of grant monies on purchase of essential equipment and for reimbursement to Human resource utilized.

Decisions
The outcome of applications will be communicated to all applicants by the Central office in due course as outlined in EC annexure displayed on the RSP site.
